Handpainted painting of a herd of Deer in Gond Art style.

10" x 12", Acrylic on Canvas Board

Gond Painting is the art form of the Pardhan Gonds, the indigenous people living near Madhya Pradesh in Central India.

It is characterised by mythical as well as folklore motifs passed down among them,  symbols of nature such as plants and animals, and the patterned designs delicately filling each motif. It depicts the mutuality between humans and animals, uniquely drawn creatures, a variety of colour combinations, and beautiful patterned designs.
